Adoption of decentralized clinical trials (DCTs) and other alternatives to conventional clinical trials have accelerated in the past two years. Drug development companies have increased their efforts to implement new tools to help educate patients about participating in clinical trials, obtain consent, collect patient data, monitor patient compliance, and manage clinical supplies. However, technology implementation does not always go smoothly without first taking user perspectives into account while developing these technologies and re-examining and adapting clinical trial strategies. This eBook contains several articles that provide needed insights for sponsors who are considering, selecting, or implementing digital technologies for patient-centric clinical trials.
